UNILORIN SU Seals Embattled Lecturer’s Office

The University of Ilorin Students’Union (SU) has sealed the office of embattled sub dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Tajudeen Ajiboye.

Recall that the SU issued a statement on Tuesday which contained their demands.

The demand included an ultimatum giving the sub dean 24-hour to tender a public apology to the union president.

“It is imperative to note that Justice is the quick acceleration of
what is right, appropriate, fair and deserved. Justice is therefore only achieved when an unjust act is redressed and the victim feels whole again!” the SU press release signed by the vice president, Tohira Iromini, and Damilare Omotosho, said this morning.

Lade’s Signatory reported yesterday’s that Ajiboye had denied allegation that he slapped the president.

The sub dean remained defiant, stating that he “owed no one any apology”.

His office is presently under lock. This is a punitive step taken by the SU to effect “their” own punishment since their demands were not met by the school management.

The paper note on Ajiboye’s door reads: “Sealed by the Student’s Union. UNILORIN Let justice prevail.”

The union however restated its intention not to disrupt the academic stability of the institution.

“Let it be made known, that the Student Union will never undermine or sabotage the stability of this university as it is our collective pride but will not rest until Dr. Ajiboye is brought to book.”
